When the Standard Option Just Won’t Do

Sometimes a room is almost perfect.

If only the bed were slightly shorter.

If only the staircase could sit at the other end.

If only two beds could meet differently in that corner.

We hear “if only…” quite a lot.

Working with designers

Over the years, Magic of Wood has worked with interior designers and other design professionals across New Zealand and Australia on both residential and accommodation projects.

Sometimes the starting point is one of our existing beds with a relatively small adjustment.

Other times, it’s an unusual room that needs an entirely different configuration.

Because we design and manufacture our furniture ourselves, there isn’t a long chain between the person looking at the plans and the people actually making the bed.

We can look at the room, discuss what you're trying to achieve and work out what is realistically possible.

And sometimes 50 mm really does matter.

We can explore different dimensions, bed sizes, staircase positions, configurations, add-ons and custom details where the construction allows.

We particularly enjoy those projects where the solution isn't immediately obvious.
